Activities for older people

Being active doesn’t have to mean a gym workout or competitive sport.  Throughout the Royal Borough of Greenwich there are great outdoor spaces, leisure facilities and lots of different cubs, so there’s plenty to have a go at.

Try new activities or go back to something you haven’t done for a while, whether on your own or with your partner or friends.  From walking groups and swimming clubs to ballroom dancing and tai chi, daytime or evening, with our help you’ll find something that’s right for you.

You may think that you’re too old, too tired, too unfit, too tired, too busy or that it sounds too much like hard work.  Start with small steps and with the support and encouragement from others you CAN do it!
