On Sunday 1st October join in with Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice’s Big Bike Ride Fundraiser, offering cyclists of all abilities the chance to ride the length of the river Thames, starting in Erith and ending in Greenwich.
September is the month where the nation celebrates active travel! With cycle to work day on the 13th and car free day on the 22nd these days are there to celebrate those already cycling to work and to encourage others to give it a go for the first time. With more than 45,000 people taking part in cycle to work day in 2016, cycle to work day has encouraged many people to leave their cars at home and pick up their bike, with National Car Free Day also encouraging people to walk or cycle to work!
Our 'Movefor10' Roadshow is currently halfway through where we're supporting Greenwich Residents of all ages to be more active in their everyday life, whether you chose to do gardening, housework, walking or swimming - every 10 minutes count. (being more active means getting your heart beating more, breathing faster and feeling warmer)
